Some people believe humans come from Adam and Eve others believe humans evolved from apes. It does not matter where we come from; the truth is the anatomy of the human body is beyond amazing. If you stop to think about how the human body functions you’ll agree with me.

The body is organized from the very simple to the complex, from the microscopic atom to the complex human organs. Tiny atoms from molecules, molecules form bigger molecules which then eventually organize into cells.  Group of cells form tissue and are then arranged into organs such as heart, brain, and lungs. Each organ has a purpose such as digestion, reproduction, or respiration.  Group of organs create organ systems. The body is built from tiny atoms to the human being.

Integumentary system consists of hair, nails, and skin. The integumentary system helps regulate body and also forms a covering to protect the skeletal system. The skeleton system consists of bones, cartilage, and joints. The skeleton protects and supports the body organs.

Blood has three functions, to transport, regulate, and protect.  First, blood delivers oxygen to every cell in the body. Second, helps in the regulation of body temperature, electrolyte balance, and acid-base balance. Third, blood helps protect the body from infection. Blood, also has clotting factors that help protect from excessive blood loss.

It is truly amazing how when we get an infection and our body knows how to take care of itself and fight it; how the sensory nerves transport information from the environment and bring it to the spinal cord and brain. Whether we come from Adam and Eve or evolved from apes the human body is a fascinating machine.
